Tubes!

Yesterday we went to Primary Children's and Ellie got tubes. It went really well. They did have to give her some medication orally to sedate her before they took her back to the OR because she was so anxious. She would not let them touch her to check her tempature, look in her ears or even take her blood pressure. She is super apprehensive about anyone in scrubs or white coats getting near her after all she has been through in the last couple months so she was kicking and squirming and throwing a fit. Soooo we sedated her so she wouldn't be kicking and screaming when they took her. It calmed her down and she was just happy to be there. We put her in the wagon and she smiled as they pulled her away!(I'm so mad I didn't get a picture in the wagon! It was kinda a whirl wind when they came to get her) They told us that sedating her before would make it so it took her longer to come out of the anestesia (sp?) but I think it was worth not giving her nightmares about having it done!! She has done really well and is back up and busy as usual today!

Talking to Kami & Daxton on the way to the hospital. Kam was pretty upset when we left. She is such a worry wart. She called 10 minutes after we left. THANK YOU THANK YOU to Rhett and Nichole for coming and staying over and getting the big ones off to school and Aunt Hollys.
