Appointments - Appointments

Holy moly I have been running ragged running from one appointment to another.

Last week Rylie started her official physical therapy with Primary Children's. It was very interesting. She did great...they played with her for the first half to evaluate her and then the second half they annoyed the heck out of her by making her push her limits. I learned that the reason she has been having a hard time sitting up by herself is because with her head tipped to the side she doesn't really know which way is up and it threw her off...duh! I didn't even really think about it effecting her sitting up. As far as rolling, I just thought she was lazy. She would rarely make the effort. The therapist showed my how weak her muscles are on her one side because of her torticollis. It was really interesting. I learned that even though her torticollis seems fairly minor, it can cause all kinds of larger issues if not addressed...one of them being scoliosis, HELLO! They taught me other stretches to do (which she hates) and told me different little things I can do at home to help her build her muscle strength. I was slightly concerned about her head being mis-shaped from favoring the one side, but they measured and it's not bad enough to cause any major issues or have a helmut, thank heavens. Luckily she's a girl and her hair will cover any flat spots she ends up with. She said that the flat spot on the top of her head is from in utero. The therapist said that her torticollis was most likely caused in the last few weeks before birth when they grow so rapidly and the way she was positioned. I told everyone it felt like she was going to fall out. It sounds like she is going to have to go every two weeks until summertime. Fun.

I visited the chiropractor last week....ahhh. Goodbye migrain. Can't wait to go back. It sounded like popcorn.

Rylie had her 6 month appointment...She's still 18 pounds. 26 inches long. Had 3 shots. Super sad. I had the Dr. peek in Ellie's ears since she has been complaining about the right one. The right tube is out. It was just hanging out in her ear but on an angle in front of her ear drum so she couldn't see if her ear was infected. Referred us to the ENT so he could decide if he wanted to dig the tube out and to see if he could see if it was infected

Kamryn had an "gymnastics evaluation" and starts private classes on Saturday. She is super excited.

Ellie started Gymnastics and goes 2 days a week during the day. She loves it and thinks she is super big! She says she can now do a hand stand. It's pretty close.....

Eliana had her appt. with the ENT who said her ear drum was "bulging". They made her do a hearing test, which she loved. She loved wearing the big "Hear Phones" and playing the game with the dr. He had her put a shape in a shape sorter every time she heard a beep. They also did a pressure test to see if she had pressure in her ears...low and behold, the right one has major pressure in it. What to do? Wait. Love that answer. Give her decongestant and see if we can wait it out. He said it is obvious that she hasn't outgrown her ear problems. Lovely. So now we see if we can make it to summer without getting any ear infections. If they start up again. TUBES AGAIN.

Today Dax & Kami had an appointment with the orthodontist. They were in 7th heaven there. They gave them DS' to play while they waited. Hello. Daxton didn't want to leave because it was a game he didn't have. ugh. Kamryn has to have FOUR teeth pulled and Daxton looked great. He just had 4 teeth pulled. Dax goes back in a year, and Kam back in 6 months.

Monday Kami & I have a dentist appointment. Holy Holy Moly does the chaos ever slow down? At least I have had a husband home the last couple weeks.
