I signed all three of the big kids up for summer soccer through the Rec Center this year...something that wont happen again! We were at the soccer fields ALL DAY every Saturday.
This is what Rylie thought of it -
It was Ellie's first and probably last season of playing soccer. She figured out that it is NOT her thing. She spent the entire game either waving to us
or following 5 steps behind everyone begrudgingly.

Daxton on the other hand, has gotten so good! He really enjoys the game, as long as he isn't goalie. He is a forward and a really good one! He is a great little hustler and gets in and fights for the ball!
He has some power behind those kicks!
He enjoyed every minute of playing this year and even got asked to play on a competition soccer team. Their first tournament was supposed to be this week but was cancelled, bummer!
This was also Kamryn's first season playing soccer. She has never had the desire and I have never pushed it because she has always had such a shy personality I didn't think she would enjoy it. Her first game she stood where her coach put her and only moved a foot and a half either direction the entire game. She did kick the ball, but only if it came near her.
After the game she kept telling us that in the next game she was going to score a goal. Sam started teasing her telling her that she would never score a goal cuz she never goes after the ball. He kept teasing her and telling her she needed to run and fight for the ball....that lit a fire under her and in the next game she was a little tazmanian devil! She was everywhere! It was comical to hear her coaches yell, "Wow, Kamryn where did that come from!" Sam and I looked at each other and were SHOCKED~! Both because she was so agressive and because she is so FAST! Neither of us had any idea. Her coaches played her as a forward from then on!
The only way she even wanted to sign up to play was she was going to be on her little friend Kyra's team! Good thing we have such good friends to encourage us to try new things!

One game she kept yelling to me, " I thought that this was supposed to be fun!" and "I don't ever want to play soccer again!" As all the parents giggled and I gave her the motherly "JUST DO IT" glare. Every time she got to the end of the field where I sat, she would come over and start eating Rylie's snacks.
Yes, I think it was her first, last and only season of soccer.
