LONG Night

Holy cow we had the longest night, EVER! Ellie has had a really bad cough. I took her in to the Dr. last week to be checked since her asthma has me freaked out constantly that she is going to get pneumonia. She was fine and we were fine all weekend....then Monday she started going downhill again. Tuesday I called the Dr and they prescribed a steroid for her lungs. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning around 2:00 a.m. she started hacking. It went on and got worse for almost three hours turning into a massive asthma attack that I couldn't get under control with breathing treatments. Finally just around 5 when she was gasping for air between coughs and puking from coughing so hard we headed to the ER. We got there and were the only ones in the building, or so it seemed. They quickly admitted us and got the respiratory therapists there to start her on a bigger breathing treatment with different meds. They did a chest x-ray and started her on an antibiotic for walking pneumonia. Poor girl!!
We checked out at 7:30 and rushed home just in time to tell Sam bye and get Kamryns hair done and get the big ones off to school. Ellie luckily fell back to sleep and slept until 1:00! She is acting like a whole new girl. She is still coughing but its nice to see her breath normally. My sweet friend Ruth Ann took Rylie for a couple hours so I could get a little sleep. Man alive its bee a long couple weeks. Rylie was up Saturday and Sunday all night to find out Monday that she had a double ear infection! I am beginning to HATE when the seasons change....inevitably we contribute a bunch of money to the Dr. office they do!
