Heber!

We went back up to Heber to Karl and Jodi's cabin to STAY this weekend. We had so much fun! It is a little old cabin that Karl's grandfather built way back when and it sits on 500 acres! The land around it is absolutely beautiful! There is a stream that runs right next to it down to a pond full of Rainbow Trout. It doesn't have electricity so we used a generator. It also lacks RUNNING WATER! So that meant hauling water from the stream and using a.....out house! It was not nearly as bad as it sounds! I was nervous, but for no reason! This sign cracked me up!Sam & Dax playing cards. Ellie feeding her face...as usual!Kami & Andrea coloringEllie doing what she does best, entertaining herself! Maegan and the girls having fun doing hair while we played charades...Sam was hilarious at this. I so wish I would have had the video camera out. He does not love playing games.
Kandis and her boy!
Maegan and Queen Ellie. She dragged her "purple" all over the place! Thank heavens for washing machines!

Ellie watching Karl ride his little motorcycle from the window.
The kids loved the rope swings!

Ellie had a little mishap and fell and bit her tongue. This is her showing off her owie!
Dax was in seventh heaven with all the bugs and creatures that he found! Uh eew!!!
Ellie being Ellie! Karl seeing how many cookies he could fit in his mouth!
Daxton and one of the many fish he caught! He got really good at casting~! He loves fishing!
Ellie wanted to pet and love all the fish they caught!Kam was just content to watch!Ellie and Daddy! The stickers are some of the many she stuck on herself and everyone else!
Ellie stood next to Dax most of the time patting him and telling him, "Good job Daxton, you're doing great!" It was so sweet!

My three little joys in Nature!
Daxton castingThese flowers or weeds or whatever they were, were everywhere. They were so cool! They were spiky and the purple was so bright they stood out like neon signs. They fascinated me!We slept in a loft that was lined with beds with everyone! The kids were thrilled to a be in sleeping bags and to have their own flashlights to play with!
It was such a good weekend away! It may have been rainy and muddy, but it didn't stop us from having a great time! Karl & Jodi's girls are so sweet to my kids and treat us like family! There is something huge to be said for good friends and good times!
Thanks guys for a great weekend!

Marci- I love that sign! It's the kind of weird stuff I look for when I'm out in the world. I once saw a sign at a gas station in the middle of nowhere (Neveda, I think, but that boring drive out to Reno)that said, please stay off the animals. ?!?! Uh, the animals? Randomness makes me happy.
