Saturday morning Daxton had his last two baseball games of the season. Unfortunately they lost both of them, which put them in 2nd place for the leauge. They were a little disappointed, but their coaches had a hot dog BBQ after the games which cheered them all up. They handed out all their pictures and the trophies and candy bars for all those who got hit by a ball during the season! Daxton was so proud to get one! All the kids had a great time til the big black rain clouds rolled in. We went home for afternoon naps and then the girls and I made sugar cookie dough so we could make sugar cookies after church on Sunday. Sunday was eventful both at church and after. Primary is always an unknown adventure...this week was a week of bodily fluids. One kid got sick in class and started puking in the garbage can, another kid got a bloody nose and two little girls in Jr. primary decided it would be fun to pick their scabs and had blood running down an arm and a leg! Honestly, you just never know what is going to happen with that many kids!
After church Joe and Shea came over and we BBQed hot dogs and the kids played. Kamryn remembered the sugar cookie dough, so we busted that out and they all rolled out and made their own cookies. Of course they had to frost them when they were done....by this time there was flour, frosting and sprinkles everywhere! I wish I would have gotten pictures. They had a great time.
After Joe and Shea left we started dinner while we waited for Bud and Carmel to get here. We had dinner and the kids were once again off to play! I'm not sure what they were doing, but they were having a great time. They stayed up til midnight watching a movie and had a slumber party in the basement.
Monday morning we got up early and went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. My kids were most anxious about going and seeing Moroni and how he had turned black...that was the topic of discussion in their primary classes on Sunday. I think they were a little disappointed when we got there and the only thing that the lightening had turned black was his arm and a little of his horn.
